Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. Salenger loved performing in front of her close family members and friends in her early years. Aged 8 when her mom enrolled her in her first acting course. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a dancing and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger also did a number of television advertisements. The first time she was the main character on the Disney film The Journey of Natty Gann featuring John Cusack and Ray Wise, the first US film to earn the gold award in the Moscow Film Festival. She also won "Best Female actress in a film" at the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the tomboyish Natty. She starred in four other films prior to turning the age of 18. One of her films was A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that, she enrolled to Harvard to further her education.
